Introduction

The WTS Greater New York Chapter (WTS-GNY) is conducting an update to its inaugural 2017 Glass Ceiling survey. This survey is part of WTS-GNY’s local effort and WTS International's national work, to track developments across the transportation industry to support the advancement of women.

For the 2020 update and second issuance of the Glass Ceiling Report, we are adding this companion member survey to complement the firm/employer survey. This member survey aims to add context to firm/employer data trends to gain insight into how employer offerings and employee needs may or may not align. In the long term, findings from this year's survey may point to areas for employer investment or innovation as employers look to compete for talent and to build inclusive, high-performing workplaces.

This year's survey focuses on 2019 data. WTS-GNY recognizes COVID-19 has created sudden changes to work conditions.  To better understand these changes, questions towards the end of the survey are specific to COVID-19 impacts you may be experiencing or anticipating. For all other questions, the survey responses should be based on data and information from calendar year 2019.

The survey takes approximately 15 - 20 minutes. Note that as long as you go back to the survey from the same device and ISP, you can return to the survey and pick up on completing it at a later time.

All responses will be confidential and will be aggregated into anonymized results. No information collected will be attributed to any individual or employer.
